The Omnificium Ltd is building illustrated stories with lasting value. We're raising £200,000 in SEIS-eligible seed funding to produce, publish, and validate our first title.
What we're building
Creator-owned illustrated properties, designed from the ground up for print, licensing, and adaptation. We keep the rights.
Kickstarter-validated releases, community channels, and direct sales. We prove demand before we scale, and we don't depend on publishers.
A 22-part narrative architecture built for repeat releases, growing catalogue value, and long-term expansion into merchandise, games, and screen.
Current Project
Illustrated by Nashmin Valadi
A premium illustrated series blending storybook, visual narrative, and art-object sensibilities. The first title from The Omnificium Studio.
The Omnificium Ltd is a registered UK company with two UK trademarks and ICO registration.
The raise buys production, not a company being set up. The lead artist is ready to begin.
The Raise
£600,000 pre-money / £800,000 post-money
The round is open on a rolling basis. Investment can be accepted at any point at the agreed terms, and shares are issued as each commitment completes, so investors receive their SEIS relief without waiting for the round to fill.
The lead artist is ready to begin. £65,000 is what starts her.
The Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme offers significant tax advantages to qualifying investors backing early-stage UK companies.
What the money unlocks
Issue 1 written, illustrated, printed in a run of 1,000, on sale direct, with a digital edition. Roughly nine months from close.
Issue 2 published, Issue 3 in production, mailing list built to the 1,000-subscriber threshold that triggers the first crowdfunding campaign.
Issue 3 published and the Volume 1 deluxe hardcover campaign run and funded, with the company carried into Arc 2 and the next three books.
The raise completes Arc 1 in full, with contingency, and carries the company through Arc 2: six books across four years on a single round. By the end of Arc 2 the catalogue is covering roughly three quarters of its own costs, with the balance drawn from reserves. A follow-on round then becomes a decision about how fast to grow rather than whether to continue. Volume 1 proves the mechanic on a cold audience. Volume 2 launches to backers who already own the first.
Use of funds
Illustration, editing, print runs, fulfilment, artist royalties.
Twenty-four months on a stepped contract, starting below market and rising only once the first book is on sale. Part of the fee is deferred until the first crowdfunding campaign lands.
Marketing, social media and campaign support, conventions, and the Volume 1 campaign.
Accountancy, legal, tools, ISBNs, webstore, insurance and overheads.
Held against production and campaign costs running over.
